Improve your Japanese skills and prepare for the JLPT N4 exam with this intensive pre-intermediate level online course, created by Japanese language school Akamonkai.
This course is taught mainly in Japanese, with little support in English. This immersive teaching method is the same as that offered by studying directly on site at the Akamonkai school. So, before you can start this course, you must have already completed the 12-Week Beginners Course created by Akamonkai or equivalent. You must know hiragana and katakana, 91 kanji, 1000 vocabulary words and grammar points relating to level N5 of the JLPT.
This course will begin with the review of knowledge relating to the N5 level of the JLPT through several review lessons. You will then move on to learning to read and write 180 new kanji, studying 1350 new vocabulary words, working on reading and understanding a text written in basic Japanese. You will also learn how to express yourself orally using different conversational styles. You will learn useful and common Japanese in everyday life, which is not usually taught in traditional school textbooks. You will also learn the basics of honorific speech and sustained language, with lessons on sonkeigo and kenjogo.
This 12-week course will help you become more confident and comfortable speaking. It will also help you prepare for the JLPT N4 exam or prepare for an intermediate level language program in Japan. As this course was designed by Akamonkai, the largest Japanese language school in Tokyo, after completing it you can also receive an official certificate issued by the school.

Note: A 12-week program, released in one-week increments. You have 6 months access to the platform from your day of registration. It is an intensive program. Please dedicate an average of 180 hours to study, complete the lessons and finish the homework.
